Right to Life of Michigan Congratulates John James on His Primary Victory, as Pro-Life Candidates Secure Big Wins!

Grand Rapids, MI – The Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee (RLM-PAC) made endorsements in 87 Primary Election races, winning 84 (96%). RLM-PAC endorsed candidates for the state legislature, Congress and governor won 100% of its races. The victories demonstrate the ongoing, growing influence of the state’s largest grassroots organization and the general sentiment among voters that it is time for commonsense leadership in our state. RLM’s 80 local, community affiliates and hundreds of volunteers made more than 100,000 Get-Out-the-Vote phone calls in support of RLM-PAC endorsed candidates heading into Primary Election Day.

James is committed to a new path forward, driven to fight for Michigan families just as he has courageously done in Congress and our armed forces,” stated Amber Roseboom, President, Right to Life of Michigan. “The momentum for pro-life candidates at every level, from governor, Congress, state House and state Senate, down to township clerk, is awe-inspiring! Michiganders are ready for commonsense leadership we can be proud of, leadership that understands that every woman should have the opportunity to make a choice for life if she would like to do so. The days are numbered in which our state’s singular response to unplanned pregnancy is abortion.”
The RLM-PAC makes more endorsements, and continues to achieve more wins, than any other grassroots organization in the state. The endorsement process begins in February with local PAC volunteer trainings, followed by local and state candidate interviews. All final PAC endorsements are made by the RLM-PAC State Board. RLM’s 80 local affiliates and thousands of volunteers then engage in a robust Get-Out-the-Vote effort in support of these candidates.
Roseboom added, “A woman in Michigan can have an abortion at any point in her pregnancy for any reason. No pro-life candidate for office can change that fact. But for choice to truly exist, women must have every opportunity to make a choice for life. Our candidates are committed to expanding life-affirming support for women, couples and families. Thousands of pro-life volunteers will be working to support leadership they can finally be proud of on election day!”
RLM thanks its affiliates and volunteers for their extraordinary engagement in Get-Out-the-Vote efforts thus far and looks forward to a robust General Election effort!
